Rosy has implemented a new security tool to help prevent people with malicious intent from gaining access to your account.
Whether it be a former employee trying to regain access to your account or an attacker program attempting to force their way in by attempting thousands of different login combos in seconds, Rosy wants to help protect your account. We have added an additional measure of protection that will log an employee login after 5 failed attempts.
If a login is temporarily locked, there are multiple ways of unlocking it.
1. Unlock the account by resetting the password.
- Click "Forgot your Password"
- Enter the business ID number and the username or email on file for the employee
- Follow the instructions emailed to you to set up a new password
Note: If an employee is missing an email on file or has the same email as another employee, they will not be able to receive a password reset email. Please navigate to Manage > Basic Settings > Employees and double check that each of your employees has a valid and unique email under the Basics tab of their employee profile.
2. Have an Owner or Manager unlock the login
- Have an employee with security role Owner or Manager sign in to Rosy
- Navigate to Manage > Basic Settings > Employees
- Under the name of the employee who is locked out, you will see an "Unlock" button
- Once that has been clicked, the employee is free to attempt logging in again
3. Wait 5 minutes until the account is automatically unlocked.
- If the steps in either of the first two options are not taken, the account will automatically unlock after 5 minutes of being frozen.
