To connect a PAX device, it will need to be connected to your network and activated in MerchantTrack.
PAX A920 Pro-
To connect to WiFi:
- Turn on the terminal
- There will be multiple screens that popup during startup – none of these screens require interaction, do not press any buttons until the ‘Welcome’ screen.

3. Once you are on the ‘Welcome’ screen, swipe up from the bottom and double tap the arrow button:
5. Go to the home screen and open the Settings app
A password prompt may appear, it will be the same password as above
6. Select ‘Networks’ and connect to the Wi-Fi/network you would like.
To connect to Ethernet:
1. From "Welcome" screen: Touch the corners of the device screen in the following order. When a touch is recognized the device will beep.
2. Enter the password "pax12345". Press the green check mark on the keyboard. Press Enter.
3. Select "Host/ECR Communication" from the Setup menu.
4. Check/uncheck the interfaces you want to connect with. Press "SAVE".
PAX Aries 8-
To connect to Ethernet:

Please wait until you are at the Welcome screen to continue the steps. This is what the screen will look like:

Once you are on the ‘Welcome’ screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and double tap the arrow button

After double tapping the arrow, there should be a screen to input a password. The password will be: pax9876@@

A password prompt may appear, it will be the same password as above pax9876@@
Next, go to the home screen and open the settings app.

From there, go to “Ethernet.”

On the Next screen you will need to Enable Ethernet in the top right of the screen followed by selecting “ethernet Configuration” to enable DHCP connection
- Ensure to select DHCP and “SAVE”
- The device should then return Mac address, IP Address etc.
To activate in MerchantTrack:
1. Navigate in Rosy to Manage > Advanced Settings > Credit Card Processing > Enter MerchantTrack
2. On your MerchantTrack toolbar, select Terminals > Activate terminal
3. Make sure Terminal Manufacturer is set to: PAX
4. Select the appropriate Model type from the "Device Model No" drop down
5. Enter the Serial Number that can be found on the back of your device
6. Enter a description that will be used as the name of your terminal at checkout
7. Click the blue Activate button!
